Testimonials
“Before discovering Desmond’s methodology, I was dangerously close to getting a promotion that would have involved managing people.
Thanks to the ‘Master the Minimum’ framework, I successfully plateaued my career six months ago. I now leave the office at 4:58 PM every day, and my blood pressure has returned to an acceptable, bureaucratically neutral level.”
— Gary P. Mid-Level Project Coordinator & Aspirational Napper
My Story
For fifteen years, I was a highly effective corporate asset. I optimized workflows. I “circled back” before EOD. I owned a standing desk and genuinely believed in the transformative power of a Q4 stretch goal. I was on the fast track to somewhere, probably a corner office with slightly better natural light and significantly higher blood pressure.
My epiphany didn’t happen on an ashram in Bali. It happened on a Tuesday in 2019, somewhere around slide 43 of a quarterly alignment deck.
I realized that the only real reward for good work is more work.
That day, I stopped climbing the ladder and decided to just lean comfortably against it. I traded my “hustle” for a sustainable level of “meets expectations.”
I founded Master the Minimum to share this vital philosophy. My mission isn’t to help you succeed; it’s to help you survive with your soul—and your weekends—intact.
